For 50 years, Hepper has been carefully reproducing elements and images of the beauty of the Ozarks and in particular the 417 area. "Optimus Deus" ( The Beauty of God"-Latin) Collection denotes some of the most beautiful scenes, parts of scenes, and a "Classical-Cubism" style so famous and unique to Hepper's Ozark landscapes that captures a now full-time life in  Springfield, and surrounding 417 area. Hepper is the OWNER, PRESIDENT of Springfield Coffee Company.

During Hepper's time owning and operating Springfield Coffee Company, 75,000 readers from  417 Magazine Voted him"Best Local Artist" for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. Hepper also received FIRST PLACE BEST ARTIST during that time during the Walnut Street Art Fair. Scott Hepper's donated artwork during that period,raised over $75,000 for local charities with 100% proceeds of all work donated going to the respective charity involved. Every cent...every time, every year. Highest dollar collected for an individual work was after 9-11., in which Hepper created an original piece and subsequent signed numbered and limited lithographic prints for a contribution to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. 100% of every cent collected was handed over to the Red Cross...Total collected solely from that one piece  over $18,000. It made CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Time Magazine and BBC World News.
